(SPH) has contributed SIN $50,000 to the Singapore-Latin American Everest Expedition 2001, which attempt to scale Mt Everest next year, via the North Face, from Tibet.
SPH has also been designated the official media for the expedition.
The upcoming expedition will take the Mallory route (named after the famed British pre-war climber) which is technically more complex than the one taken by the first Everest expedition in 1998.
