Singapore Airlines (SIA) has sponsored the Everest 2001 expedition by providing the team with tickets from Singapore to Kathmandu return, free of charge.Rick Clements of Public Affairs said that the airline has provided the expedition with 8 FOC tickets and 1000 kg of baggage allowance. This will be more than enough for the entire expedition's usage.
SIA has also previously supported the 1998 First Singapore Mt. Everest Expedition with tickets and baggage allowance.
